There are a few ways of how a user would be able to join a community. 


Join a Community by accepting an invitation

If you received an invitation from your community via email, that means that your invitation is pending and already exists in the GLOCMS Community App.


To view the invitation you would need to have created your GLO-ID account and sign in. If you have not created your account, please refer to https://glovent.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/35000170615

  1. Sign into the GLOCMS Community App

  2. Select the Join a Community button or plus icon located next to the My Communities heading
    or
  3. Under the Invites heading, you will view your invitation from your community
  4. Click on the green checkmark to accept the invitation
    or click on the red cross to reject the invitation

  5. A popup notification will appear confirming that your profile has been linked successfully.
  6. You can now proceed back to the Homepage where your Community will be visible



Join a Community by sending a join request

You can also request to join a community. Once your request has been sent, it will need to be reviewed by the Community Admin whereby they will either accept or reject your join request.


To send a join request you would need to have created your GLO-ID account and sign in. If you have not created your account, please refer to https://glovent.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/35000170615

  1. Sign into the GLOCMS Community App

  2. Select the Join a Community button or plus iconlocated next to the My Communities heading
    or
  3. In the search bar type in your Community's name
  4. If your Community's name is found, click on it
    (If your Community's name is not found, exist the search bar and click on the link below ie. Refer your Community to join here)

  5. Fill in the details ie. Are you an owner, are you a resident, non-resident or temporary resident, the address, and any notes.
  6. Then click on the Submit Request button
  7. Your Community Admin will need to review your request before informing you that it has been accepted or rejected.



Join a Community by being recommended by the owner

If you are an owner of a property in the community, you will have the authority to recommend other members to the community, whether it be your spouse, tenants, or domestic worker. The request will be sent to the Community Admin whereby they will either accept or reject the recommendation.

To send a recommendation request you and the person you are recommending would need to have created a GLO-ID account and be signed in and be each other's connections. If you have not created your account, please refer to https://glovent.freshdesk.com/a/solutions/articles/35000170615

  1. Sign into the GLOCMS Community App
  2. Select the My Connections tile located on the Homepage
  3. Click on the person you would like to recommend to a community
  4. Click on the Recommend to a Community button
  5. Select the Community from the list
  6. Now complete the form with the information relevant to this person
    (Should you select that this person is not an owner, an additional screen will appear after you've clicked on the Submit Request button. This screen will show a list of tags that you can use to identify this person better to the community.)
  7. A notification will appear confirming that your recommendation has been sent to the community for approval.
    You'll be able to review each of your connections' statuses when you go to their profile and click on the Recommend to a Community button. A status label will show next to the Community as indicated below
